London (PA Media\/dpa) – Adele said she was \u00abnot shocked or fazed\u00bb by the reactions to her dramatic weight loss.<\/p>\n

The Someone Like You singer said she had not set out to drop almost 100 pounds (45 kilograms) and that she had always been body-positive.<\/p>\n

\u00abMy body has been objectified my entire career, I’m too big, I’m too small, I’m hot or I’m not,\u00bb she told Oprah Winfrey, during an exclusive interview to launch her new album.<\/p>\n

\u00abI never looked up to anyone because of their weight.<\/p>\n

\u00abI’m body positive then and I’m body positive now.<\/p>\n

\u00abBut it’s not my job to validate how people feel about their bodies.<\/p>\n

\u00abI feel bad if anyone feels horrible about themselves but that’s not my job. I’m trying to sort my own life out.<\/p>\n

\u00abI can’t have another worry.\u00bb<\/p>\n

The singer also revealed she loves lifting weights in the gym and at her strongest was deadlifting 160 pounds, telling her trainers she wanted to win an Olympic medal.<\/p>\n

\u00abI’m actually an athlete, I’m not even boasting,\u00bb she said.<\/p>\n

\u00abI’m also a very good boxer, I’ve got a left hook that could kill you.<\/p>\n
